Recap: CIO Advisory Board of May 2014
Microsoft organized its second CIO Advisory Board of 2014. The atmosphere was full anticipation. First of all to learn more about the importance for the CIO working together with their Marketing Director as the vast majority of Marketing Directors feels unprepared to handle technology changes ahead. Microsoft went deeper into the technology needs, especially with respect to big data and CRM. Secondly, to discuss the future roadmap of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Microsoft presented its insight on upcoming trends.
According to a study by Gartner, the Marketing Director will spend more on IT than the CIO by 2017. “But Marketing Directors feel increasingly underprepared and have a lot of challenges and complexity, especially on data explosion and customer experience” states Tim Nagels, Business Group Lead for Dynamics at Microsoft Belux. “Key is to align this internally and Microsoft supports you with a broad portfolio to enable amazing experiences, such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Office 365.”
During the second presentation, we elaborated on the upcoming roadmap on Microsoft big data and CRM solutions.
Afterwards José Delameilleure, Director at Across Technology (a Peter Hinssen company), shared his vision on how CIOs can collaborate better with their Marketing Peers. The event was closed by a walking dinner during which people shared insights and opinions on the various topics.
We look forward to our third CIO Advisory Board of 2014, which will be taking place in September. If you are interested in attending our next CIO Advisory Board, feel free to fill in your contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will contact you.
