Invitation: Microsoft Leadership Series | The Age of Big Data

Over the past decade, technologies that leverage data to solve business problems and identify new avenues of growth have exploded. This is changing the global economy and the way we all do business.

While Big Data and Analytics have been receiving attention for a few years, the considerations are now shifting from the “why” to the “what & how” of big data. This is largely a result of a number of smart businesses being able to demonstrate an edge over competition by harnessing big data, and the supporting technologies & infrastructure well on their way to becoming mainstream. It’s no coincidence, therefore, that Big Data is one of the 4 key trends (the other 3 being Cloud, Social, and Mobile) that businesses will embrace in the current decade.

To get a perspective on how businesses from healthcare, telecom, banking, airlines, education, and governments are harnessing big data to stay ahead of change, join us for an interactive conversation with Kenneth Cukier. Kenneth is a highly respected authority on technology and telecoms, and an award-winning business correspondent at The Economist. He brings-in rich experience in the areas of cloud computing, new mobile services, social media, the promise and perils of “big data”, as well as innovation, intellectual property, Internet regulation and future IT trends. He is a regular speaker at industry & thought leadership forums around the world.

Kenneth is joined by Arun Ulagaratchagan, General Manager at Microsoft APAC, to share the strategy, examples, and supporting technologies from Microsoft to help our customers harness the power of Big Data.

This, by-invitation only, break-fast event is scheduled for Tue, March 19th Microsoft Singapore. Please contact your Account Manager for more details.
