Hands-on labs will focus on: Windows Azure Virtual Machines, Windows Azure storage and deploying Cloud Services in Windows Azure. |
Extending Your Existing Apps On The Microsoft Modern Platform and learn critical skills that all modern developers need to know. Instructor-led labs will focus on: moving existing line of business (LOB) applications into cloud, deploying services to the cloud, and connecting modern apps. All languages are welcome. With Windows Azure, you can use practically any language, framework, or tool to build or move existing applications into the cloud. |

| Be fully prepared for this hands-on day of coding by bringing your laptop and signing up for the free Windows Azure trial. That way, during the workshop, you'll be able to use the newest features of Windows Azure.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To participate in the hands-on labs, you will need to bring your own laptop with the following system requirements.
- PC running Windows 7 or Windows 8 (Home Editions not supported) with at least 4 GB memory and 10 GB free disk space
- Azure account or sign up for a free Azure trial (limited to 1 month or $200 USD in usage)
- Download and install Visual Studio 2012
- Download and install Identity and Access Tools for Visual Studio 2012
- Download the Windows Azure Visual Studio 2012 SDK for .NET
- Download and install WCF Data Services 5.3 Tools
IMPORTANT NOTE: To participate in the hands-on labs, you will need to bring your own laptop with the following system requirements.
- PC running Windows 7 or Windows 8 (Home Editions not supported) with at least 4 GB memory and 10 GB free disk space
- Azure account or sign up for a free Azure trial (limited to 1 month or $200 USD in usage)
- Download and install Visual Studio 2013
- Download and install Microsoft Web Platform Installer 4.6
- Download and install SQL Express 2012 with Tools (SQL Server Management Studio)
- Download the Windows Azure Visual Studio 2012 SDK for .NET
