Gartner, eWEEK, and IT Business Edge have all recently published articles on this topic, and the 2012 IBM Tech Trends report showed that only 1 in 10 companies feel they have the IT skills they need to be successful. With the rise of big data, cloud and social computing, and the consumerization of IT, the drive for IT innovation is high but the talent pool is limited.
