Windows 8 Packs
an Enterprise Punch
Opportunity and choice. The retirement of one of the world's most respected operating systems - Windows XP - has encouraged enterprise customers to explore new methods for productivity and profitability. Recent results from Netmarketshare show that while Windows 7 is currently the most popular desktop operating system in the world, Windows 8 holds more than 10% of the overall market and is tracking steady growth.

Field-tested and enterprise-ready, Windows 8 is driving innovation and along with it, the potential to widen the gap between you and your closest competitors with new methods of engaging, collaborating and serving customers.

Field Tested with Proven Results

Windows 8 was first released in 2012 and was followed by several updates, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Update, which were designed to address user experience feedback solicited from a diverse community. A few simple enhancements such as adding back the start button helped increase adoption and delighted users, who now find both navigation options - touch or non-touch - simple to use including the ability to switch back and forth as easily as a mouse-click or touch of the finger.

"When you experience Windows on a pure tablet, with no mouse and keyboard, our satisfaction is through the roof, but once you add a mouse and a keyboard, that brings into the equation a couple decades of muscle memory and expectations. And so this update is really geared toward harnessing those decades of muscle memory and expectation to bring people much closer to all of the newness that we've added in Windows 8."
