OpenText has released Legal Content Management (LCM) for Microsoft SharePoint designed for small to mid-size law firms and corporate legal departments currently using or planning to use Microsoft SharePoint 2010. LCM combines OpenText’s specialized legal industry expertise in matter lifecycle management and proactive compliance with the usability, collaboration and document management capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and Microsoft Office 2010.
The new LCM offering captures OpenText’s expertise in providing solutions for the legal industry – 90 percent of the Am Law 200 currently uses OpenText Legal Solutions – and makes it available to firms with less than 300 lawyers looking for fast, easy deployments with Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Using LCM, attorneys can access documents and email in different repositories, perform federated searches across matters, and automatically assign metadata to allow correct classification of documents – all from their familiar user interface.
