  • Mohawk Fine Papers

    Mohawk Fine Papers experienced an increased demand for papers that are produced with minimal impact to the environment. To meet this demand, Mohawk is implementing a new Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution that is based on Microsoft technology. The goal is to reduce the consumption of energy that is spent to produce the paper. Mohawk expects the new solution to deliver a 5-to-10 percent reduction in energy consumption. The EAM solution can save Mohawk hundreds of thousands of US dollars annually, and reduce carbon emission by millions of pounds.

  • Greening Australia

    Greening Australia is the country’s largest not-for-profit environmental organization. The company worked with Microsoft Partner Dynamic Edge to design a centralized accounting system that is based on Microsoft Dynamics GP. Microsoft Dynamics GP helped Greening Australia to create a consolidated set of accounts across nine offices. The consolidation improves the quality and accuracy of financial data and reduces the workload of the accounts department. As a result of the new accounting system, the not-for-profit organization now has the tools to help track project spending and comply with state and federal government reporting requirements.

  • Vancity Credit Union

    Vancity, Canada’s largest credit union, needed to increase efficiency and turned to technology to support its efforts. Because of the technology and value Microsoft provides, Vancity opted to base their system on Microsoft technologies and upgraded its Microsoft license agreement to the Enterprise Client Access License Suite. Now, Vancity has a business productivity infrastructure that provides cost-effective collaboration and communication capabilities. For example, the credit union uses Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 to share electronic documents. This reduces paper consumption and makes it easy for employees to quickly find the information that they need to serve their members. As a result of their new upgraded system, Vancity can not only increase its contribution to the company environmental sustainability goals, but it can also offer more IT services without incurring additional costs.
