Morning Inaguration: 9:15 - 12:30
Evening Reception: 18:00 - 22:00
Following last year’s event “Youth, the key to Europe’s future”, we will continue the discussions around the opportunities to be created for the young generation. On 21 January, we will welcome youth, political decision-makers, nonprofits, as well as businesses to join live discussions and keynotes around how to best empower the young generation and build a stronger, more innovative and sustainable future for Europe. This event will aim to reflect on the progress made to date by Microsoft YouthSpark in Europe in response to the challenge of youth unemployment and the skills mismatch, addressed by the EC Youth Employment Package and specifically the EC Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs.
You can find a detailed agenda here.
From 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, MEPs will answer video questions from European youth as well as live questions from the audience and social feeds. The audience will be invited to express their opinions through a digital vote. If you cannot attend, follow the live stream here.
In the evening, we will be opening the new Microsoft Centre in Brussels, a state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to Microsoft’s latest devices and services that help people and organisations world realise their full potential. These technology innovations generate opportunities for the technology sector, businesses, the public sector and consumers worldwide, as well as improve access to education & digital skills.
