TechNet Webcast: Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (Level 200)Microsoft Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM) provides a workflow process of offline Group Policy Object (GPO) creation that integrates role-based delegation, review, and approval of Group Policy before deployment to a live environment. These roles can be delegated according to the supervisory needs of the enterprise. However, with custom permissions an administrator can define any special combination of permissions needed to fit the unique requirements of your organization. Copies of each GPO are stored in a central archive, so that administrators can view and modify policy offline, and authorized users can check out GPOs from the archive, make changes, and check in the GPO for review. Presenter Jeff Carlson, Associate Architect, Microsoft Corporation Jeff Carlson is a principal consultant with Xtreme Consulting Group, a Microsoft partner focusing on desktop deployment. Before joining Xtreme, Jeff was involved in the architecture, planning, and deployment of Microsoft platforms, applications, and services for many organizations and enterprises in the United States and abroad. His previous roles include architecture and design of systems, networks, and applications, as well as technical lead or subject matter expert (SME) roles. Jeff's deployment history spans from Windows NT 4.0 and Office 4.3 through the Windows Vista operating system and the 2007 Microsoft Office system, varying from 250 seats to 25,000 seats.
