Microsoft SQL Server 2008 introduces a number of new features for managing SQL Server including Policy Based Management, Management Data Warehouse and Extended Events. These new management features have been designed to assist with diagnosing and resolving common performance issues. This session demonstrates how to troubleshoot various scenarios using the new management tools within SQL Server 2008. It also demonstrates how to use the tools to assist with the management of multiple instances, how to monitor the performance of your severs over time and provide a greater insight into SQL Server.
