Encode output to IIS Smooth Streaming 1080p
In order to reliably encode output to IIS Smooth Streaming 1080p, your system must have a minimum of 3GB of memory. On a 64-bit version of Windows, Expression Encoder will utilize all the memory available on the system. On a 32-bit version of Windows, memory usage is limited to 2GB. However, if you have more memory available, you can configure Expression Encoder to recognize up to 3 GB. Expression Encoder has been compiled with the /LARGEADDRESSAWARE option which will enable you to increase the amount of memory to 3GB if it is available. To enable this option, run the following command from an elevated command prompt: BCDEDIT /Set IncreaseUserVa 3072.
For more information on LARGEADDRESSAWARE and BCD Boot Options see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/294418/ and http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa906217.aspx.
