The CESG Claims Tested Mark (CCTM) - a mark for assurance, a mark for confidence, a mark for quality, a mark to trust.

The CCTM scheme provides a government quality mark for the public and private sectors based on accredited independent testing, designed to prove the validity of security functionality claims made by vendors. The CCTM is designed to assure public bodies that a product or service "does what it says on the box". Additionally, the CCTM scheme provides compliance testing against technical standards for degaussing (data erasure) set by CESG as the National Technical Authority for IA. The CCTM is aimed primarily at products and services to meet IA requirements at Government Impact Levels 1 and 2.

These prestigious global awards recognize security and IT vendors with advanced, ground-breaking products and solutions that are helping set the bar higher for others in all areas of technologies. Forefront Client Security was voted a finalist by more than 11,000 voters worldwide consisting of end-users, channel partners and readers of Info Security Products Guide. Winners will be announced in November.

The goal for ICSA Labs:
 Certification is to enhance and improve security implementations of network and Internet computing, which will improve commercial security and its use of appropriate security products, services, policies, techniques, and procedures. Certification enforces overall confidence in computing and drives enhanced security measures while at the same time, decreasing the intrusion of security measures in everyday life. Certification also promotes user acceptance of increased security while improving the ease of use, and the invisible, automatic, and seamless integration of security technology in everyday computing.

Products and services certified by the ICSA Labs Anti-Virus Product Certification program:

Virus Bulletin is a magazine that conducts antivirus software product detection rate tests. The tests report on the prevention, detection, and removal of malware and spam. Products that detect 100 percent of the viruses “in the wild,” without false alarms, are given this award. VB100 award was first introduced in 1998.

West Coast Labs’ Checkmark Certification system has become recognized as a leading global standard for anti-malware certification and testing to real-world standards. The Checkmark system is a quality testing and certification service with established, independent standards on product effectiveness. Checkmark standards are continuously being developed to ensure that they are an accurate reflection of real-world situations and changing technology advances. Products registered in the Checkmark System are tested at regular intervals against the published test criteria.
