Computerworld (May 16, 2008) "The biggest strength of the IAG concept, in my opinion, is the application optimizer concept, which really allows an administrator to truly customize an application -- without modifying its original code -- for specific security requirements. When coupled with the other features and capabilities, any device based on IAG is a sure bet for efficiently securing remote access to applications."
Dark Reading (April 29, 2008) "Microsoft is adding two edge security products to its Forefront line -- next-generation and rebranded versions of its remote network access product and its network edge protection product, the company revealed here today. The newly christened Forefront Unified Access Gateway (formerly its Internet Access Gateway) and Forefront Threat Management Gateway (formerly Internet Security & Acceleration Server 2006) will be released in public beta versions later this year. Microsoft also announced that it will roll out an updated version of its SharePoint Optimizer for the existing IAG 2007 SSL VPN product next month."
InfoWorld (October 29, 2007) 8.7/10 "Excellent. Microsoft's IAG 2007 is a full-featured SSL VPN solution available only as part of an OEM/appliance bundle. IAG sits on top of Microsoft ISA Server, providing multiple layers of security. IAG's policy engine is very robust and includes a wide range of predefined applications to make policy definition easier."
SearchWinIT.com (September 10, 2007) "A service pack for Microsoft's gateway device is now available with more client support for Windows Vista and Windows Mobile 5.0. Service Pack 1 for the gateway device, Intelligent Application Gateway 2007, has better integration through Active Directory Federation Services deployments and support as well as Kerberos constrained delegation (KCD) directory change utility support for smart card-only authentication. ...The software company also released an update for its enterprise firewall, Internet Security Acceleration Server 2006, or ISA 2006, with new troubleshooting tools and a new troubleshooting console node."
