Licensing

Forefront Security for SharePoint is licensed through Microsoft Volume Licensing in the Microsoft Online Services program on a per user or per device monthly subscription model for internal sites, and a per server monthly subscription model for Internet-facing sites. This license includes all antivirus scan engines, signatures, and product upgrades during the license period.

The estimated annual subscription prices for an organization with at least five users are:

Forefront Security for SharePoint Internet Sites	Varies	Forefront Security for SharePoint can also be used to protect Internet-facing websites running on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 for Internet Sites against malicious code and inappropriate content. Forefront Security for SharePoint Internet Sites monthly subscriptions are licensed per server, with one server license required for each Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 server protected.

Downgrade Rights

Customers who purchase Forefront Security for SharePoint, which protects Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 collaboration environments, also receive downgrade rights to Antigen for SharePoint which protects SharePoint portal Server 2003 and Windows SharePoint Services 2.0.
