Microsoft Forefront codename “Stirling” is a beta product and is expected to become available for purchase in the first half of 2009. Until then, you can buy the existing Forefront products, as there will be an easy upgrade and migration path to “Stirling.”
The existing Forefront products can be purchased standalone, as part of the Forefront Security Suite, or as part of the Enterprise CAL. When you are under subscription or Software Assurance for existing Forefront products, you will have rights to the future version of that product.
