Tempest vs. V-1 Mission Updated 11/9/99
The Combat Flight Simulator team has updated this mission and expanded the tutorial documentaion. Give it a try!
This is the first in a series of tutorials on how to modify missions and aircraft for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator. Included in the zipped file (download below) are:
- A tutorial on how to convert AI planes into player-flyable ones (Tempest Mission Tutorial1.doc).
- The mission file (Diver Down.mis).
- The Tempest Damage Profile (tempest.dp).
- Additional textures for the He-111 (he111_1.bmp, he111_2.bmp).
- The Excel spreadsheet used to build the tutorial mission (Diver Down.xls).
- A sample mission spreadsheet, for use with the tutorial (template.xls) Please note that you'll have to download the Mission Editor first.
- A historical background article about the V-1 flying bombs (an interview with an actual Tempest pilot who shot down V-1s). This article is also available right here.
