IMPORTING AIRCRAFT, SCENERY & MISSIONS
22 January 2001
[ADDITONAL SUPPORT TOPICS]
These documents are intended to explain the general guidelines for importing
aircraft and missions from Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 1 (CFS 1), as well
as scenery from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 (FS 2000), for use in Microsoft
Combat Flight Simulator 2 (CFS 2). It will outline basic procedures as well as address
known trouble points. Please remember that since CFS 2 is an open architecture application,
third parties may create alternate methods of importing these objects, so these
guidelines are not necessarily the only way to import objects.

Please
read all of the steps below before beginning to
import any files. |
For organizational purposes, we will break up the necessary steps into three major
sections:
 |
AIRCRAFT / cfs2_importing_aircraft.rtf (42.5 KB) |
 |
MISSIONS / cfs2_importing_missions.rtf (44.1 KB) |
 |
SCENERY / cfs2_importing_scenery.rtf (143 KB) |
Important Note: If you plan to import the missions from CFS 1 into
CFS 2, then you must first import the aircraft
from CFS 1.
We've also found that it may be easier for you to follow along with printed
instructions, so we've left the detailed explanations in a document format which
you can either view in your browser or download.
