Q. During installation I have had problems with Setup not running
properly because my Windows\Temp folder is full, how do I fix this?
A.
While most CFS2 players have not encountered installation problems in getting CFS2
up and running, some have reported that the CFS2 Setup.exe may fail to successfully
install the simulation if the contents of the their Windows\Temp folder is too large
or the folder is damaged. This is also a known issue for some other Microsoft games.
If CFS2 Install fails, delete unnecessary files from your Windows\Temp folder
If your installation of CFS2 stalls or fails, you can safely delete the Windows\Temp
folder or unnecessary or damaged files in that folder. For a complete discussion
of this issue (depending on which version of the Windows operation system you are
running), see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article at the following Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q262/6/22.ASP
Note that many temporary files in the Windows\Temp folder older than a week
or more may serve no purpose; they are just taking up space on your hard drive,
and may cause conflicts. Using the Windows Disk Cleanup system tool periodically
will help you avoid installation problems of this kind. With the extraneous files
deleted, CFS2 should install without further problems.

Q: Why does installing only the game files for Combat Flight Simulator
2 take up more than 200MB on my disk drive?
A:
The amount of space Combat Flight Simulator 2 uses on your hard disk depends on
the size of clusters on the disk drive. A cluster is the smallest unit of hard drive
space. If your cluster size is 32K, a file that is really only 5K will still take
up 32K of space on your hard drive. If your cluster size is 4K, a file that is 5K
will still take up 8K (two clusters) of space on your hard drive. Combat Flight
Simulator 2 has many files that are less than 10K in size, so on hard drives with
large cluster sizes, many files take up more space than they need to.
