It's easy to get Point Lookout

Here's how you do it:

  1. Launch the Games for Windows - LIVE Client and sign in, then click Marketplace.
  2. Click Add-ons then the Point Lookout icon.
    3. Click Buy (if you don't have enough Microsoft Points, click Add Points to get more points).
  3. Confirm your purchase, then click Download.
  4. When the download is complete, launch Fallout 3 to enjoy Point Lookout.

IMPORTANT: You must play the game (have your character out and about in the Wasteland, not be in Fallout 3's menu system) for a couple minutes for the Point Lookout content to appear. After a couple minutes, a radio beacon and the questline will become available.

Story

Buy a ticket and hop onboard the Duchess Gambit, as Tobar the Ferryman takes you to the strange seaside town of Point Lookout. What secrets does the dilapidated boardwalk hold? Who lives in the sprawling mansion? Why is the Punga Fruit so important? And what horrors lie in the depths of the murky swamp?

Point Lookout is the most open-ended DLC yet and allows you to explore a huge, swampy wasteland any way you’d like. A completely new quest line allows you uncover the town’s hidden secrets and wield powerful new weapons like the Double-Barrel Shotgun against the swamp’s dangerous, and deformed, denizens.

Achievements

With new quests come new achievements. There are four new achievements for completing quests in Point Lookout. The four new achievements will add 100 points to your gamerscore.
