How to download The Pitt

It's easy to get The Pitt with your Games for Windows — LIVE Client.
Here's how you do it:

  1. Launch the Games for Windows — LIVE Client and sign in, then click Marketplace.
  2. Click Add-ons then the The PITT icon. Click Buy (if you don't have enough Microsoft Points, click Add Points to get more points).
  3. Confirm your purchase, then click Download.
  4. When the download is complete, launch Fallout 3 to enjoy The Pitt.

IMPORTANT: You must play the game (have your character out and about in the Wasteland, not be in Fallout 3's menu system) for a couple minutes for the The Pitt content to appear. After a couple minutes, a radio beacon and the questline will become available.

Story

The Pitt opens with a desperate radio message, and a meeting with its sender, an escaped slave named Wernher. Wernher claims that the leader of The Pitt has created a cure for mutations… and he needs you to go in and retrieve it. From there, the player can proceed in a number of ways, in true Fallout 3 style. Do you fight your way in, or disguise yourself as a slave? Ally with the slaves, or join their Raider overlords? The Pitt is very morally ambiguous - there's no real right or wrong, just choices to be made, sides to be chosen, and a mystery that could send shockwaves throughout the entire Wasteland.
