With Games for Windows - LIVE you can easily play multiplayer games with your friends or new opponents online, using our exclusive TrueSkill™ matchmaking system.

You can download additional content for your favorite games-from the latest game trailers and playable demos to new maps and levels-quickly and easily in the Marketplace.

Games for Windows � LIVE allows you to earn achievements and gamerscore and add them to your LIVE account so you can track all your gaming achievements in one place.

Getting Around

Navigate your way around the Games for Windows - LIVE application by using the following tabs and links on the home page:

Marketplace

• Visit the Games for Windows - LIVE Marketplace to buy Microsoft Points, download game demos and add-ons, watch video trailers�and teasers, and much more.
  You can change how games are sorted on the marketplace by selecting any one of the filters shown below:
  
  
  
  Game Demos are demonstration versions of games that allow you to take a sneak peek at a game before you commit to buying it.
  
  Game Add-ons are items that you can download for a game you have. For example, new levels or new weapons.
  
  Game Videos include video trailers of games to give you a sense of what the game is about.
• • Click the Play button to watch the videos.
  • Delete them permanently from your hard drive by clicking on the Remove button. (If you delete a video it will be erased from your hard drive but will remain in your purchase history so you can easily download it again if you want to.)

Downloads

• Keep track of your Active Downloads as well as all your downloaded game add-ons, game demos and videos.
  
  You can change how games are sorted in the downloads section by selecting any one of the filters shown below:
  
  
  These options are the same as the Marketplace sorting options, described above.

• You may also monitor the progress of your downloads

  • Monitor the progress of your download on the right hand side of the screen.� Pause,� Resume or �Cancel the download by clicking the appropriate button on the right of the progress indicator.
  • If there is not enough disk space available for your download, you will receive a popup window requesting you free up sufficient space and then re-launch the download.
  • Whenever you order items from the Marketplace, your download will automatically be added to the Downloads page in the order in which it was purchased.
  • If you try to quit Games for Windows � LIVE while one or more downloads are in progress, you will be given the option of pausing the download, or allowing it to continue in the background after the program has closed. Pause and then Cancel the download if you do not want to do this. If you chose to continue your download will be completed but you will need to click the Install button the next time you open Games for Windows � LIVE.

Games on Demand

• This section lists the complete games that you may purchase and download to your PC to play.

My Account

• You can modify some parts of your account with the options in My Account:
  
  Add Points allows you to add more Microsoft Points to your account and to see how many Microsoft Points you have remaining.
  
  Redeem Code allows you to redeem any offers you may have. Enter the number you have been given then click Redeem.
  
  Manage Payment Options allows you to change the credit card information that you have associated with your account.

Gamer card

• Your gamer card will always be displayed during your gaming sessions on Games for Windows - LIVE. It shows your gamertag, gamer picture, reputation and gamerscore. Right-click your gamer card to sign out.

• This section lists the game add-ons that are the most popular with the Games for Windows - LIVE community.

Settings
