Visit the Games for Windows — LIVE Marketplace to purchase
full games and game add-ons,
download game demos, watch game
trailers, and manage your account.
Navigating Games for Windows — LIVE
Marketplace
When you sign-in
and launch the Games for Windows –
LIVE application, you will be on the
Marketplace tab.
Select any game
image or game title featured on the
Marketplace tab to go to that Game
or Add-on details page.
Browse Catalog:
·
All Downloads includes every title that has any downloadable content
associated with it.
·
Full Games include titles that are available for full game downloads
(also known as Games on Demand).
·
Games Demos include titles that have a preview version to give you a
sneak peek at an upcoming or
released game.
·
Game Add-ons include titles that have additional content you can
download for a game you already own.
This includes new levels, map packs,
costumes and more.
·
Games Videos include titles that have video trailers of the game.

Select Play to watch videos

Delete videos permanently from
your hard drive by selecting the
Remove button. (If you delete a
video it will be erased from your
hard drive but will remain in your
purchase history so you can easily
download it again if you want to.)
You can sort games
in the Marketplace catalog by
Title (alphabetically) or by
Best Selling (the best-selling
content).
Downloads
Select the
Downloads tab to view all of
your Downloads. This will include
Active Downloads as well as items
you already purchased and downloaded
in the past.
You can monitor the
progress of any Active Download on
the right hand side of the screen.
You can Pause, Resume
or Cancel the active download
at any time.
You can browse your
Downloads in the same way that you
browse the Marketplace by using the
left-hand navigation starting with
All Downloads.
Whenever you order items from the
Marketplace, your download will
automatically be added to the
Downloads page in the order in which
it was purchased. You can choose to
sort these items by Purchase Date
(default setting) or Title.
Please note:
If you try to close the
Games for Windows — LIVE application
while downloads are in progress,
you will be given the option of
pausing the download, or allowing it
to continue in the background after
the program has closed.

Cancel the download
by selecting Pause and then
Cancel.

Finish the download
by selecting Continue. You
will still need to go back to the
Downloads tab and select the
Install button to finish the
process and access your content.
My Account
·
Add Points allows you to add more Microsoft Points to your account
and to see how many Microsoft Points
you have remaining. You can use
Points to purchase content.

Redeem Code
allows you to redeem any offers you may have. Enter the
redemption code number you have been
given and then select Redeem.
·
Manage Payment Options allows you to change the credit card information that you
have associated with your account.
Gamer card
· Your gamer card
will always be displayed during your
gaming sessions on Games for Windows
- LIVE. It shows your Gamertag,
gamer picture and gamerscore.
Right-click your gamer card to sign
out.
Settings

Manage your folders
to change the location of downloaded
content. See the
Settings Overview page for
details.
