Change your Games for Windows
- LIVE experience via the Settings
button in the right hand corner of the application.
You will then see the following
settings:

The Settings menu
contains the following sections:
How to Manage Your
Downloadable Content
These settings
allow you to change the directories where your
downloaded content will be temporarily stored
before being installed.
Once an item is installed, the temporary
downloaded package will be removed from this
location.
To change the
Downloads caching directory:
1.
Click Change.
2.
Browse to the required new location on your
computer.
NOTE: You cannot choose folders that have
Cyrillic text in their names or errors will
occur during installation and download.
3.
Click OK to save these changes.
Install Management
These settings
allow you to change the directories in which
your downloaded Game Demos and Videos from Games
for Windows
- LIVE will be installed.
To change a directory
in which content will be installed, follow these
steps:
1.
Click Change.
2.
Browse to the required new location on your
computer.
NOTE: You cannot choose folders that have
Cyrillic text in their names or errors will
occur during installation and download.
3.
Click OK to save these changes.
Create Shortcuts for Demos
The installer will
not create shortcuts in the Desktop or in the
Start Menu, unless these options are selected in
Settings.
To turn on or off
the shortcut creation options:
1.
Click the check box to select or unselect an
option and the change will automatically be
saved.
2.
The next
time you download a game or demo, the installer
will create shortcuts according to the
preferences you have set in this section.
Profile Management
The Profile
Management option will allow you to remove all
accounts currently listed in the Sign-in window.
To remove all
saved profiles:
1.
Click Clear
2.
Click Yes to remove all saved profiles (Gamertags
and e-mail addresses) from the Games for Windows
– LIVE sign in window.
3.
The next time you sign into Games for Windows –
LIVE, you will need to reenter your Games for
Windows- LIVE e-mail address and password.
Restore to
Default
This option allows you to restore the default
setting for the Games for Windows – LIVE client
removing any custom options. (Note: this option
does not uninstall content from your system.)
To reset the Games for Windows – LIVE client to
its original settings:
1.
Click
Restore Defaults
2.
Click
Yes
to reset Games for Windows - LIVE to its default
settings.
