Games for Windows – LIVE and Windows
Latest Update
This update is automatically installed when you sign into a Games
for Windows
–
LIVE
game or Games for Windows – LIVE Marketplace. If you
are having
trouble installing it during the automatic update
process, download and install the latest update from
the link listed below.
Games for Windows — LIVE will prompt you to install any required
updates. If you are unable to install these updates,
you can install them at
www.windowsupdate.com
or by starting
Windows Update
from Programs. You will need to opt into the
Microsoft Update service, by clicking
Change Settings in Windows Update
and selecting
Microsoft Update
under Update Service.
Additionally, you will most likely be asked to perform all
outstanding critical updates for the Windows
operating system, which are also available through
Windows Update.
Windows XP players are required to install the following Windows
operating system update to fully utilize the Games
for Windows — LIVE software.

.NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is required to run the Games for Windows –
LIVE client. If you have problems installing or
running the .NET Framework 3.0SP1 software, please

Silverlight, which is available at:
