Rocket
Launcher
- The ultimate unit in the siege line is the MLRS, or Multiple Launch Rocket System.
Not only can the rockets of this most modern of artillery weapons bring down the
house - all the houses, in fact - around an unwary opponent's head, this artillery
unit can almost move fast enough to keep up with the tanks and armored cars you
will surely have in abundance by the time it arrives.

Trebuchet
-
The first upgrade in the Artillery line is the Trebuchet. Greater range and more
hitting power than the first unit (the Catapult) make it a fine weapon for wreaking
long-range mayhem. When the Gunpowder Age dawns, so too dawns the power of the Bombard,
which is where artillery begins to earn its historical nickname: "Queen of Battle."
Bombards move faster then trebuchets; they deploy more quickly, have greater range,
and inflict splash damage, meaning that units near a target suffer damage along
with the target. This makes all artillery after Bombards anti-personnel weapons
as well as anti-City weapons. Starting with Enlightenment Age Cannons and thereafter,
siege weapons do truly serious damage to enemy ground units.
