Power of The Horde. This means
that Mongols generate Stable units faster and at less cost than anybody else. They
also suffer less attrition while in
enemy territory, and Mongol Horse Archers are deadly against Citizens. And finally,
the Mongol player receives three ranged cavalry units (Age-appropriate) with each
completed Stable. Not only is the Mongol well-equipped for the raiding and taking
of your nation, but he receives a Food gathering boost with each percentage of the
map under his control. Criminal justice majors can see the means and the motive
here.
Mongol unique units reflect the historic strengths of their owners. The first of
these, the Nomad, is a mounted unit akin to the
Horse Archer, available during the Classical Age. Next comes the Steppe
Nomad - more mounted, ranged trouble firing at opponents while on the move. Both
of these units, along with their successors, the Horde and the Golden Horde, are
Hell on the hoof to enemy light infantry and archery units, and they're inconsiderate
of the rights of enemy Citizens and Caravans, too. The reduced attrition suffered
by Mongol raiders means that they stick around longer to inflict more damage in
enemy lands, as well.
Mongol players aim to wear down foes prior to devastating final blows. The Mongols'
deploy no unique units after the Enlightenment Age, but the Power of the Horde does
not fade. They still receive three Armored Cars with each completed Auto Plant,
and they also still suffer lessened attrition while rampaging into enemy territory.
