Vom 22. bis 24. April 2008 fand in Aschheim-Dornach bei München die „TeamConf 2008“ statt, ein Fachkongress zum Einsatz von Microsoft Visual Studio Team System in der Praxis.

Today there are many methods, processes, techniques, etc. that attempt to help project teams conduct their work. While there are indeed some important differences between them, the commonalities are far greater – the end goal is for all of us to get working software. Thus adopting complete processes does not make practical sense. Instead the focus should be on being able to mix and match ideas from many different sources inside or outside our own world and compose these ideas to get a better way to work. Over the years we have more and more come to realize that these separate ideas are well represented by practices. Practices are first class citizens – process is just a composition of practices. Practices are to software development teams what use cases are to software systems: they have a beginning and an end and they provide identifiable values to the stakeholders. Practices come from individuals from different camps around the world, such as from the agile camp or the process improvement camp. In this session, you will get an understanding of a practice-centric view of software development. We will examine the core essential practices that are critical to success and how these can be created for both an Eclipse platform and a VSTS platform.

Die Produktentwicklung der Lexware GmbH veröffentlicht innerhalb eines zwölfmonatigen Zeitraums kontinuierlich mehr als 40 Softwareprodukte für Endanwender. Dies stellt nicht nur eine enorme Herausforderung an den jeweiligen Entwicklungsprozess dar, sondern aufgrund der Zielgruppen mit teilweise mehr als 200.000 Anwendern auch an das Qualitätsmanagement, den Support-Service und an das Anforderungsmanagement. Dazu wurde in den letzten Jahren ein „Application Lifecycle Management“-Prozess entwickelt, der auf Basis von Microsoft Team System, Project Server und SharePoint implementiert wurde. Es sollen zur Verdeutlichung Aspekte des Anforderungsmanagement, des Projekttracking, der Projektsteuerung und des Qualitätsmanagement sowie deren jeweilige Umsetzungen betrachtet werden. Weiter soll dargestellt werden, wie sich diese unterschiedlichen Aspekte durch eine übergreifende Integration zu einem pragmatischen „Application Lifecycle Management“ zusammenfügen. Durch das automatisierte Zusammenführen und Konsolidieren von Daten und Informationen kann so eine hohe ganzheitliche Transparenz innerhalb der Produktentwicklung geschaffen werden, die sich auch auf eine Vielzahl ausgelagerter Entwicklungsaktivitäten erstreckt.
