The Games for Windows team requires an approved (or specific country equivalent) rating certificate to get final approval for Games for Windows branding.

The Games for Windows program will not accept “adults only” (or country equivalent) titles.
If a game has a rating in a supported system, we expect that data to be in the GDF. If the game is not rated in a given supported system, then it should not have data in the GDF and will be treated as an "Unrated" game.
Please check with your game rating board, turnaround times may vary and could cause delays to the final approval of Games for Windows branding.
