Every year at the Worldwide Partner Conference, Microsoft recognizes a distinguished group of organizations that have demonstrated excellence in delivering innovative customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. This year, we were proud to present iLink Systems with the 2012 Public Sector Public Safety & National Security Partner of the Year Award.
iLink integrates software systems and develops custom applications, components and frameworks on the Microsoft platform for IT departments, application services providers and independent software vendors. This award specifically recognizes iLink’s support of the EPIC Situational Awareness Solution, which drives the disaster response operations for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world's largest humanitarian organization.
iLink’s EPIC solution leverages Microsoft’s application and server platform technologies and implements Metro style interface design concepts to improve complex logistics coordination and communication for the World Food Programme. WFP distributes more than 3.7 million tons of food each year to more than 90 million beneficiaries in 70+ countries.
EPIC is built on top of a series of services through which relevant information can be accessed by geographically dispersed response teams on a variety of devices, including Surface, Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows 7 PCs as well as legacy analog radios. It is used throughout WFP’s operations worldwide.
We are so pleased to recognize this valued partner and bestow this much-deserved award to iLink!
