Microsoft for Public Safety & National Security

Welcome to Microsoft on Safety and Defense!

12 December 2011 | Jennifer Steele, Senior Marketing Manager, Worldwide Public Sector

Today we’re launching the Microsoft on Safety and Defense blog to start valuable discussions on the trends, challenges, and technologies impacting global public safety and national security.

The Microsoft Public Safety and National Security team is dedicated to helping public safety, justice, national security, and defense agencies leverage technologies, solutions, services, and programs to help better defend nations and protect citizen safety and security.

Nations around the world are facing unprecedented security challenges. From sophisticated cyber-attacks to terrorism and natural disasters, leaders are looking to technology for answers. We want this to be a forum for leaders from global defense, intelligence, homeland security, criminal justice, police, fire and rescue organizations to share ideas, best practices, and success stories.

As we tackle the intersection of national security and technology in the coming weeks, we hope you’ll join the conversation. Please let us know if there is a topic you’d like us to weigh in on. I can be contacted directly at jsteele@microsoft.com.

If you have a question for one of our authors, feel free to send a note to safetyanddefense@microsoft.com. Or, let us know @MicrosoftPSNS.
