Microsoft checking in at the 2012 Worldwide Government Solutions Forum
23 April 2012 | Michele Bedford Thistle, Business Manager, Government, National Security, and International Organizations, Worldwide Public Sector
This week in London, England, public sector IT leaders from around the world are coming together to participate in the 2012 Worldwide Government Solutions Forum (GSF). Here, representatives from central, regional, and local governments will meet to discuss how emerging technologies such as cloud computing can power new public sector services, while at the same time create opportunities for greater efficiency and cost control. As the name of the event suggests, participating governments also use the forum to share their innovative practices and IT solutions, providing a valuable opportunity for governments to collaborate and learn from one another.
My colleague Niels Solberg, Vice President of Microsoft Public Sector in Europe, Middle East and Africa, is at GSF 2012 this week, and just posted a new blog about Microsoft’s participation in this event. I invite you to check it out. Also, be sure to visit our blog throughout the week for more updates from GSF 2012. Follow the Microsoft UK team’s live Tweets from the GSF in London this week @msukingov #ukgsf2012.
