Jeff is an international professional with more than 14 years experience working in Asia. He is based in the Republic of Singapore and is currently carrying out a regional role for Microsoft Corporation.
In his current role, Jeff is responsible for working with Microsoft’s various channel partners across Asia Pacific markets who are involved in the public sector business. These partners include independent software vendors (ISVs), global alliance partners, software integrators (SI), value-added and large account resellers who develop innovative solutions to support governments. In this role, he works closely with partners on key ICT solution areas which enable governments improve their overall effectiveness.
Jeff joined Microsoft in 2006 as Regional Government Engagement Program Manager responsible for countries in the Asia Pacific region. While at Microsoft, Jeff has successfully managed multi- regional projects for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and has spearheaded a program on disaster response and preparedness with the UN World Food Program. Leading an effort on behalf of the public sector team, Jeff developed an innovative executive program in partnership with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore for government leaders, academics and Microsoft executives to conduct dialogues on the current ICT landscape. The program focuses on innovation in ICT and how ICT can contribute to economic development and recovery and has become a regular program offering. In 2011, this program has been offered for the fourth consecutive year in Singapore.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Jeff was Director of Business Development for Central Asia Development Group, a private development organization involved in the implementation of infrastructure, agriculture and economic development projects in Afghanistan which partners with various multilateral and bilateral agencies such as USAID, World Bank, UN agencies, CIDA and other international donors. Jeff was involved in the successful implementation of reconstruction and rehabilitation projects in southern Afghanistan valued at more than US$50 million between 2002 and 2005. In 2006, Jeff led the expansion of the organization by establishing the organization’s presence in South East Asia in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Jeff also has experience in the financial services sector having previously worked at Reuters Financial Services as a Business Development Manager and as an Institutional Foreign Exchange Dealer for the Royal Bank of Canada in Singapore, Australia and Canada.
Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in Canada and an MBA in Finance.
