For over two decades, Charles Jennings for has been a founder/builder of Internet security companies, including Preview Systems, which went public in 1999; and GeoTrust, which was acquired by Verisign. He is also a co-founder of TRUSTe, the Internet’s leading privacy assurance service, and is currently CEO of Swan Island Networks, which provides its TIES® security intelligence service for over 200 large enterprises.
Jennings has long been a thought leader in Internet trust and security. He was a delegate to the Nobel Technology Summit in Oslo, 2008; is the recipient of the prestigious lifetime achievement award of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network; and was named by Federal Computing Week as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Government technology, 2007. He has written several books, including The Hundredth Window: Protecting Your Privacy and Security In the Age of the Internet (Simon & Schuster, 2000), and was the subject of a major feature story in Wired magazine, 2006. His television appearances include CNBC and ABC World News.
Jennings is an experienced and entertaining public speaker whose credits range from his TEDx talk, “From Armadillos to Monkeys,” to a keynote at the UN 50th Anniversary Conference on the Declaration of Human Rights in Toulouse, France, in front of a world audience of 5000.
