Microsoft Philippines National Agenda: Harnessing skills for global competitiveness

Governments around the world are focused on key missions such as fostering economic growth, with the Philippines, for instance, listing this among the top five priority areas in its 2012 budget. My colleague John Bessey, Managing Director of Microsoft Philippines, recently wrote an interesting blog post on Microsoft's Asia Futures website about some of the ways Microsoft is helping the Philippines maximize this growth and maintain long-term competitiveness through the “Five Es:” education, employability, entrepreneurship, excellence, and ethics.
