Sign in and submit your opportunity based on the below criteria:

Microsoft approval
You will be notified via email within 7 days if your opportunity is pre-approved as eligible opportunity. Refer to the email communications on the validity date of the approval. Once pre-approved, you will be issued with an opportunity validation code.
Request discount from distributor
Submit the opportunity validation code to your selected Distributor and receive the pre-approved discount.
Submit your claim
Close and log order through Microsoft Authorized Distributors for the pre-approved opportunity within 45 days or by 30th June, 2013 (whichever earlier as stipulated in email confirmation).

How to win?
Step 1:
Sell Windows Server Datacenter, Windows Server Standard Edition and CIS (Core Infrastructure SKU) ? Combo of SE or DC with System Center (in Open L, Open L + SA and Open Value)
Step 2:
Upload the opportunities with qualifying products SKU in www.mspowerupmea.com. If qualified, they will be pre-approved for the reward within 5 working days.
Step 3:
Once pre-approved, close the opportunities with qualifying products within 45 days or by 30th June, whichever is the earliest
Step 4:
Provide Open License number and the total value of sales of qualifying products SKU done during program period
Step 5:
Upload legible copy of Deployment checklist (signed letter confirming deployment actions) by 31st August, 2013
Step 6:

  1. How many opportunities can I register at one time?

    A maximum of 75 active approved sales opportunity per Reseller organization at any given point.
  2. Can my Sales team register their respective lead?

    Yes, Reseller can have their Sales people to sign up to register Opportunities. Go to link to register. Please ensure that sales person uses their official company email address.
  3. Do I assume that the opportunity is valid for Discount upon successful submission?

    No. Successful submission of opportunity by Reseller is not deemed as approved eligible opportunity. Microsoft will reply with a confirmation email within 7 working days.
  4. Is this applicable for Open Value Subscription order?

    Yes, this program is applicable to Open L, L&SA, Open Value and Open Value Subscription.
  5. Is this applicable for Charity orders?

    No, this program is not eligible for Open License Charity and Government orders.
  6. Is this applicable for Academic and Government License orders?

    No, this program is not eligible for Academic or Government License (Open L, L&SA, Open Value and Open Value Subscription) opportunities. The program applies only to Commercial opportunities.
  7. What opportunities should a Reseller submit?

Register & Win - Opportunity Approval

  1. When will Reseller be notified of the status of their opportunity submission?

    Microsoft or its agent will validate and verify the Opportunity using the information in its internal sales tools and, if validated, will send Reseller an email confirming the registration of the Opportunity (the "Confirmation Email") within 7 days upon submission. Microsoft reserves the right, in its discretion, to reject an Opportunity for registration. Microsoft shall have no liability for any delay in validating any Opportunity submitted for registration or for rejecting an Opportunity for registration.
  2. Is pre-approval limited to the first Reseller who registers the opportunity?

    No. If more than one reseller submits the same Opportunity for registration, the following shall apply:
    • The reseller who submitted the Opportunity first will, if the Opportunity is validated for registration, be registered in respect of that Opportunity;
    • Any other reseller who submits the same Opportunity for registration within seven (7) days of the first registration will also be registered in respect of that Opportunity
  3. How long is the validity period for the opportunity pre-approval?

    The Opportunity is valid for 45 days once approved or until 30th June, 2013 (whichever earlier). There will be no extension allowed. If opportunity is not closed within the 45 days period, the opportunity will expire.
  4. Can I edit my opportunity once it is pre-approved?

    No. All pre-approved opportunities will be locked. If there are necessary changes to the pre-approved opportunity such as license type, products or Distributor, then the opportunity must be deleted then re-submitted by the reseller. Any opportunity resubmitted without deleting the first one will be declined.
  5. Will Distributors automatically receive notification of our opportunity approval by Microsoft?

    Yes. Distributors will be informed via email of all the newly pre-approved opportunities. The status of opportunities will also be visible on the Opportunity Registration tool. However, due to the potentially high traffic, resellers are recommended to contact their Distributors with the opportunity validation code.

Register & Win - Discount Payment

  1. What if the pre-approved customer purchases are more than the products that I have submitted as the Opportunity?

    The opportunity will qualify for discount as long as at least one registered product within the opportunity is purchased. E.g. If Reseller registers Office and SQL for customer and final order is made on SQL and Project, Reseller is eligible for the Discount on total SQL. However if customer purchases Project only, the order will not qualify for Discount.
  2. What supporting documents do I need to submit to earn my points?

    Submit your request online with copy of the Distributor Invoice, total value of sales and Customer License Agreement Number within one month after the end of program period.
  3. What value is the Discount payout based on?

    Payout is based on Distributor Invoice amount to the Reseller for the Open License Order. Payout is based on the minimum order of US$ 2,500 and maximum of US$ 100,000.
  4. Can we have one Champ who registers all the deals for the company?

    Yes reseller can have one champ to submit all opportunities for the company. However this is not possible if the sales people want to participate to Individual Sales People incentive program that Microsoft will implement leveraging. Then each Reseller sales people will need to be registered with his own business email address in www.mspowerupmea.com

Deploy Windows Server 2012 and earn cashback up to $500

  1. What is Hyper-V Surge?

    Hyper-V Surge is a sales promotion designed to further incent Microsoft partners selling Windows Server 2012 to deploy Hyper-V in SMB customer environments.
  2. What is the offer?

    During this promotion, partners who submit eligible claims will receive $500 cashback for every Windows Server Datacenter Edition license that is activated with Hyper-V and $150 cashback for every Windows Server Standard Edition license that is activated with Hyper-V.
  3. What is the timeframe for this promotion?

    This promotion is valid for eligible purchases made between 1st April, 2013 and 30th June, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT). Claims must be submitted with required documentation by 30th June, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT). Evidence of Deployment completion must be submitted for validation by 30th September, 2013.
  4. What license types are eligible?

    Open Licenses for Commercial are eligible. (OPEN L, OPEN L&SA and OPEN VALUE).
  5. What SKUs are eligible to take advantage of this promotion?

    The following SKUs are eligible for the promotion:

  7. Am I eligible for this promo if I am hosting the server for my customer?

    The promo is only eligible if the license is purchased through Open and not through SPLA. The server can be deployed on premise or at a reseller location/datacenter as long as the license is owned by the customer and is a dedicated (not a shared, multi-tenant) server deployment.
  8. Are any of the licenses sold prior to 1st April, 2013 eligible for the incentive?

    No. The cashback incentive is only available for new eligible licenses sold during the promotion period.
  9. If I deploy Hyper-V during the promotion period for licenses purchased by the customer before 1st April, 2013, do I qualify for the incentive?

    No. The cashback incentive is only available for new eligible licenses sold during the promotion period.
  10. Can I claim the incentive if I sell the license but another partner deploys it?

    Only one reseller/partner can claim the incentive. All requirements must be met in order to claim the incentive. The licenses and Hyper-V deployment services must be included on the same Purchase Order.
  11. Is there a limitation on the number of claims that a partner can submit?

    No. There is no limitation on the number of claims that a partner can submit during the promotion time period.
  12. Is there a minimum deal size associated with this offer?

    No. There is no minimum deal size required to receive this incentive.
  13. Is there a maximum number of licenses that I can sell to a single customer?

    Yes. This promotion is meant to drive sales and Hyper-V deployments in Small to Medium Businesses (less than 250 PCs). The incentive is payable for a maximum of 5 Windows Server licenses that are activated with Hyper-V.
  14. Is Software Assurance required?

    No. Software Assurance is not required.
  15. What type of hardware should I use for deploying Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V?

    • Hardware-assisted virtualization. This is available in processors that include a virtualization option?specifically processors with Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) or AMD Virtualization (AMD-V) technology
    • Hardware-enforced Data Execution Prevention (DEP) must be available and enabled. Specifically, you must enable Intel XD bit (execute disable bit) or AMD NX bit (no execute bit)
  16. How can I successfully drive demand for Hyper-V with my customers? Will Microsoft provide me with the tools to market Hyper-V to my customers to ensure I'm speaking to the relevant pain points for SMBs?

    Yes. In addition to the Mid-Market Virtualization campaign available to partners, Microsoft will provide supplemental marketing materials to help you drive demand for this offer.
  17. What resources are available to help me prepare for this promotion? How can I get additional training on Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server 2012?
