Way2Care is an advanced authentication solution that leverages passive proximity cards to deliver an easy sign on process. The solution enables healthcare providers to use one badge for entry into the parking lot and buildings, as well as using a single sign on to their workstation.
With Way2Care, a healthcare provider taps a proximity card for identification then enters a password. Once authenticated, the provider can log on to the same workstation or any other workstation by simply tapping the card. He or she can also tap to authorize certain actions, such as ordering a medication, and can tap to log off. This capability lasts for an IT-controlled period of time. Upon expiration of this time period, the provider simply reenters the password to initiate a new session. This authentication process helps save time and boost efficiency within the clinical workflow.
