Healthcare Innovations Solutions Day – Bangkok

30 October 2013 | Jennifer Chen, Marketing Manager, Public Sector, Asia

In Bangkok, 110 people registered for the Microsoft Healthcare Roadshow including a lot of senior decision makers from the health sector in Thailand, among them senior executives from the Bangkok Hospital Group, Bumrungrad International Hospital, the Ministry of Public Health, Samitivej Hospitals, and many more. We got very strong interest in Office 365 and already have 10 qualified leads that the teams are working on in both EPG and SMS&P. And that is just from the booth; we have more coming from the event organizer.

We followed up the day with great meetings with both Bumrungrad International and the Bangkok Hospital Group. Bumrungrad wants to go big on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and has decided on Windows 8 as the basis for its mobility strategy. Microsoft is currently working with Orion Health on a new app for patient registration to connect to the Bumrungrad’s hospital information system.

We met with Bangkok Hospital Group the following day and we have identified seven key areas for engagement. These range from identity management integration with its HR systems right through to looking at the potential for HealthVault to connect the patient information for the 30 hospitals in the group. Bangkok Hospital Group is growing so fast it is currently opening up a hospital a month and doesn’t see that expansion stopping anytime soon.
