Install Newsgroup in Microsoft Outlook Express:
You can add the Microsoft Hong Kong Technical Support Newsgroup easily by following the instructions below:
  1. Launch Outlook® Express, select "Tools" / "Account" from the top menu.

  2. In the "Internet Accounts" window, click the "Add" button, then select "News".



  3. In the "Internet Connection Wizard" window, type in your name, for example "John Smith" then click the "Next" button.



  4. Type in your e-mail address (which will be posted on the newsgroup) then click the "Next" button.



  5. Type in the address of the NNTP server: msnews.microsoft.com (not case sensitive) (Please do not select "My News server requires me to log on"), then click the "Next" button.



  6. You have successfully set up the account for newsgroup upon clicking "Finish".



  7. Please click "Close" to close the dialogue box of "Internet Accounts".



  8. Outlook Express will ask whether you would like to download newsgroup, please select "Yes".



  9. After Outlook Express has downloaded newsgroups, double click the name of the newsgroup you would like to subscribe in the "Newsgroup Subscription" window. (In "To show the newsgroups containing the following contents", type "public.cn" to help you select the newsgroup).
You have successfully subscribed to Microsoft Hong Kong Technical Newsgroup now.
