While rapid multi-media developments in the 21st Century undoubtedly bring on benefits but also cause immense pressure on educators. To tackle the challenges with school, Microsoft® Hong Kong Limited and under the generous support from the Education and Manpower Bureau, held the "School Leader Development: Building 21st Century Schools" workshop again from 7 to 8 February in the "Hong Kong International IT in Education Conference 2006" for 60 principals and experienced teachers, this is follow by the pervious collaboration with Centre for Information Technology in Education (CITE) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in organizing the workshop for 100 principals earlier.

The workshop is aimed at improving the skills of school leaders by looking at the changes in education during the 21st century. The workshop materials were co-authored by Microsoft and Professor Bransford from internationally renowned University of Washington. The workshop, divided into four modules with discussions led by experienced educators, covers a range of topics from the changing schools and students, new horizons, new teaching proposals and leadership in 21st Century for coping with the changing environment and students.
