| Microsoft wrapped up a successful seminar on September 29th for the "21st Century School Leader Development Series II - Security Day for Schools" as part of the Microsoft Partners in Learning initiative. Principals and teachers learned about the latest security technologies, tools and practices to protect their school network from hackers and viruses.
The keynote speaker of the event was Mr. Wong Hung Fu, Senior Inspector of Technology Crime Prevention Unit, Hong Kong Police Force. That was followed by a presentation from Mr. S.C. Leung, Senior Consultant of the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team. Both parties discussed the latest trends of computer-related crimes and shared their best practices for security. During the event, a movie entitled "Fireflies: River of the Light", which featured a teacher overcoming a tough situation created by old-fashioned school policy, reluctant parents and disobedient students, was shown. After the movie, there was a lively discussion on 21st century schools and students with Mrs. Fanny Law, Permanent Secretary for Education and Manpower, who also shared her views on the future direction of Hong Kong education. |
