Microsoft works with international renowned organizations and scholars to tailor workshops for school leaders. Please find below a brief introduction on these workshops.
It is the hope of every principal, education administrator and experienced teacher to acquire the suitable skills for the building of a "21st Century school". Designed and created with the joint efforts of Microsoft and Professor John Bransford of University of Washington, the "School Leader Development Series: Building the 21st Century Schools" offers its participants a step-by-step guide in building an ideal school environment in which students can learn the basic knowledge, skills and values to get well-prepared before they step into society. Course content include four modules designated to address issues the school leaders may encounter, including "Scope of change", "New vision", "New education approach" and "Leadership development".
The success of educational reform depends to a great extent on the reformer's knowledge on "science of change", that is, a thorough understanding on the process and major motivations of change. Any practical leaders of an educational institution like you are welcome to join this one- to two-day "Lead Changes" workshop, which will offer you a valuable opportunity to learn the concept in leading changes. Prepared by Professor Michael Fullan, an internationally renowned authority on educational reform; the teaching materials of "Learning how to lead the reform" focus on the three levels of changes involved in a comprehensive educational reform. We are pleased to invite Professor Fullan to Hong Kong in March 2007 to share with local educators his insights on lead changes.
