"New IT Technologies to Explore Education Potential" Seminar organized by Microsoft was held successfully on July 4 2008, with over 130 teachers attending.
The seminar was divided into 4 sessions. The first session talked about how teachers could use technology to personalize their teaching aids for different subjects to facilitate lesson preparation. It also included ways that common templates could help to significantly reduce the time spent on administration works. The second session focused on how IT auxiliaries such as PDAs, Tablet PCs with Wi-Fi technologies could promote learning and teaching interactions in building a “wall-less” classroom, increasing the fun of teaching and learning and making them possible to take place any time, anywhere. The third session looked into how technologies helped to create an interesting learning community by forming a communication platform among students and between students and teachers. When applied on small group homework, it could increase the versatility of the students’ learning methods on the one hand, while at the same time allowing the teachers to follow up on the learning progress of their students and thereby provide them with appropriate assistance.
