As the Enterprise Group Senior Director, Robbie Ray Wright manages Microsoft's relationships with key enterprise customers and partners. He oversees the direction and strategies of the Enterprise Group, which is responsible for Microsoft's enterprise business, including sales and services for large enterprise and government customers. Robbie also takes responsibility for identifying and developing business and partner relationships in both the commercial and government sectors. Robbie was formerly Director of Business & Marketing Organization (BMO), providing business and marketing leadership across the subsidiary. He also directs strategic initiatives for Microsoft® Hong Kong, integrating brand, communications and sales and marketing to drive customer satisfaction. Prior to relocating to Hong Kong, Robbie was Director of Marketing for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Mobile Devices Group of Microsoft Corporation, where he played a pivotal role in defining and implementing EMEA mobility sales and marketing strategy for Microsoft Smartphone, Pocket PC Phone Edition and Pocket PC product lines. Robbie started his career at Microsoft in the Developer Division of Microsoft in 1994 to head up the world-wide marketing efforts of Visual Basic® for Applications and Visual Basic 5.0. In 1997 he transferred to the EMEA headquarters team to lead the EMEA Developer Marketing Team; managing sales and marketing of Visual Studio®, MSDN®, Visual Basic for Applications licensing, Visual Basic and Visual C++®. Robbie has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA, with honors, from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. |
