The problem in Hong Kong is that many people do not appreciate what constitutes software piracy or, if they do, they don't realize what the consequences might be to themselves, their friends, their companies or the Hong Kong economy. It's important that everyone who owns a computer understands the different forms of software piracy, not just to comply with the law but also to protect against bigger economic problems like lost revenue.

So what exactly is software piracy?
