Now that Microsoft® Server Championships 2007 has come to an end and we've found our winners in the DemoStar Competition. - Register to attend this presentation skills enhancement seminar.
- Attend the 1st presentation seminar facilitated by a guest speaker from Toastmaster and learn the secrets of superior presentation skills.
- You will be given guidelines on creating your own demo presentation and choose either to present your demo onsite at the 2nd presentation seminar on 10 March 2007 (please register by email to serverch@microsoft.com for onsite presentation) or submit your presentation in PowerPoint Producer format to serverch@microsoft.com for the competition.
- 6 contestants will be selected as finalists for the competition on 24 March 2007 and the contestant with the overall highest score will be crowned DemoStar.

Presentation Trainer Profile: Ms. Elsa Law - Sole Proprietor of Elsa Law & Co. Solicitors and a Trainer |
Ms. Elsa Law has 20 years of experience in law and specializes in commercial litigation and contracts. She has spent 13 years in U.K studying and practicing Law. She is qualified to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales, Hong Kong and Australian Capital Territory and has a master degree in Chinese and Comparative Laws. Ms. Law was previously the Corporate Counsel for KCRC and had successfully concluded a number of major corporate projects. Whilst as In-House Counsel (Litigation) for Mitsubishi Electric Hong Kong Group Limited formerly known as Ryoden (Holdings) Limited, she oversaw, managed and settled numerous number of personal injuries and death claims, loss of properties and loss of profits claims which included such claims arising from the Garley Building fire cases. She now runs her own practice.
Aside from being a lawyer, she is also a trainer in selected human resources development projects and is currently the President of the Hong Kong Toastmasters Club which focuses on public speaking skills and leadership. She is the champion speaker of the 2004 International Prepared Speech Contest of Area H of the Toastmasters Clubs. Elsa has also been a guest speaker on numerous occasions and notably on:
- Alternative Disputes Resolution held by the Hong Kong Arbitration Centre 2002;
- The Hong Kong Government In-House Presentation Training 2003;
- Toastmasters Club (Division H) New Members' Orientation Training 2004;
- Club Officer's Training of the Toastmasters Clubs 2005;
- YWCA English Speaking Section 2005 Christmas Luncheon;
- Microsoft Sever Championship 2006 and King of Exchange Competition 2006.

- Entry is only open to Hong Kong and Macau residents, aged 18 years or over. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and signifying that you have read and understood them fully.
- The 6 contestants who make it into the finals will be contacted individually by telephone and announced at this site on 19 March 2007.
- Microsoft Hong Kong Ltd ("MSHK") has the right at any time to change any terms or conditions or discontinue the competition or any aspect of it. MSHK will announce all substantive changes by posting it on this website. Any changes or discontinuation will take effect from the date they are notified. Your continued participation in the competition will constitute acceptance of any and all of the changes made. If you do not agree with any change you should stop participating in the competition. You agree that MSHK shall not be liable to you for any loss or damages arising as a result of any such change or discontinuation.
- Entries with missing or incorrect details will not be judged. Each person can only submit one entry. MSHK accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
- Participants are strictly forbidden from copying (either wholly or substantially) any third party work or material and by submitting an entry in this competition or by entering the competition, each Participant warrants and represents that his entry is entirely of his own creation and has not been copied from third party works or published or used in any manner before. - IT Points - Participants of this competition will also be eligible for the award of IT points which can be redeemed for prizes and gifts, which are described further here.
- MSHK judges' decision in relation to all matters and disputes connected with the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. The details of the successfully Participants will be published here and notified by email and / or telephone].
- The prizes are provided on "as is" "with all faults" and "as available" basis. - MSHK reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual which MSHK has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions or any instructions or directions that may be contained here, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the competition. Microsoft's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such a Participant are reserved.
- The competition and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong SAR and the courts of Hong Kong SAR shall have jurisdiction to hear all disputes relating to them.
- All parts of the competition and the Terms and Conditions are severable and the invalidity of any provision(s) shall not affect any other provision(s).
- MSHK treats the personal information provided by all Participants as confidential. If your personal information is provided only in connection with this competition then it will only be used for this competition, and will be destroyed afterwards. Each Participant authorizes MSHK to publish their details and personal information here for the purpose of notifying successful Participants. All Participants, prize winners, Finalists hereby grant MSHK the right to publish online and in print, their details, names, likeness and district without compensation.
