Hosted Solutions Lifecycle Support
All Hosted Exchange Solutions are made up of individual Microsoft products, such as Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Server, and SQL Server. As such, support for Hosted Exchange Solutions is provided at the product level and follows the lifecycle of each individual product.

With the release of Exchange 2010, Microsoft is creating a new way to support hosted Exchange deployments. Hosting in Exchange 2010 will be supported approximately twelve months after the release of Exchange 2010.

The Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration (HMC) version 4.5 is the last version of that solution. Microsoft will support HMC 4.5 through July 2013.

If you are using a Hosted Exchange solution that includes a Microsoft product that has moved out of Microsoft’s mainstream support phase or extended support phase, we recommend that you contact Microsoft Consulting Services or a systems integrator.

For a list of Microsoft partners who can help you upgrade your current solution, see the Hosted Business E-mail and Collaboration catalog.
