Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd, was founded in 1995 as a high-tech enterprise, whose establishment was under the great promotion of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information Industry and the China Academic of Science.

Dawning has made an indelible contribution to promoting the development and usage of China's high performance computers. In June 2004, Dawning 4000A supercomputer, developed and installed in the Shanghai Super Computer Center rank No.10 in Top 500.

Dawning extended its HPC solutions to Windows platform after the launch of Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003. Dawning has two offers to meet the customer requirements for productive and lower TCO HPC solution:

  • The first one is for the large traditional HPC environment s that are often homogeneous. Dawning uses Windows HPC in dual boot scenarios and plans to dual boot the SSC 200T new system which will be deployed later this year.

  • The other one is a personal super computer which focuses on personal or group scale HPC environment s and provides out of box solution to the end users.

Dawning is looking forward to working with Windows HPC Server 2008 to make the HPC mainstream and highly productive for customers.
