I wish there had been an an Imagine Cup when I was growing up. It gets people involved in seeing that software is changing the world.

One World. Unlimited Possibilities.

The Imagine Cup is the world’s premier student technology competition. While competing for cash and prizes, students gain real life experiences, make new friends, and turn their ideas into reality. The brightest young minds join together and, using technology, tackle the toughest problems facing our world today.

Let’s face it; the world could use a little changing. We live in difficult times with a ton of problems raining down on people every day. The real question is who is going to step up and do something about it? We think students have the power to make fundamental changes for our planet, through the use of technology.

Everything that the world may become "someday" depends on the potential of our youth. The relationship that they have with technology enables them to dream in ways we never have before. Add technological resources to their dreams, and indeed, they hold the tools that can change the world. The Imagine Cup is their chance to show the world what they can do.
