HP won the public tender with full support of a portal based on a Microsoft® orchestration layer, desktop suite, operating system, and data management software. As a result, around 70 services are now accessible online to more than 500,000 citizens. The new Virtuos system also interfaces with national e-government initiatives.

A charter of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is to educate the public and inspire students. NASA hosts a Web site for the purpose of generating public awareness about the Mars Science Laboratory rover known as Curiosity.
