Great River Health Systems, a regional provider of healthcare, sought a better solution for medication management. To improve efficiency and patient care, its hospital replaced manual processes and upgraded its distribution platform with an intelligent system from Microsoft and Omnicell based on Windows Embedded. As a result, Great River has reduced delivery time of patient medication from 1.5 hours to 30 minutes, cut $400,000 in inventory costs, and expects rapid ROI and ongoing annual savings of $300,000.

American Water Enterprises (AWE) needed better tools to secure and manage approximately 450 computers used in field offices and remote locations. AWE subscribed to Windows Intune, a cloud-based PC management, endpoint protection, and remote assistance service from Microsoft. It reduced the number of computers with out-of-date virus protection by 40 percent and gained visibility into the desktop to provide better support for staff.

Softline Company completed the implementation of a corporate portal based on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 platform for the SOGAZ Insurance Group. Ine a result of the project a geographically distributed company employees got a single repository of corporate information.

Home Credit Bank is actively developing its branch network. With the increase in the number of employees and the amount of information systems that are used in the bank, the user account management task became much more re-source-intensive. The adoption of an integrated system of identification data management aims to reduce the efforts required for administration and to improve information security. The project required careful preparation be-cause of its volume and significance. That is why full-scale implementation was preceded by a pilot step, wherein we selected methods and tools for data transfer, ways of handling exceptions, and collected statistics. This allowed us to have a clear plan for the primary implementation milestone.

A.P. Møller – Mærsk company had a very large corporate intranet installation (over 20’000 sites) with various, non-standardized branding packages on current Microsoft SharePoint 2007 farms. The costs of maintenance, upgrades and operating the environment were very high, mainly due to decentralization and uniqueness of each business unit branding solutions. The main goal of the project delivered by Predica was to standardize the branding across the entire worldwide conglomerate during the migration from Microsoft SharePoint 2007 to Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and to enable users to easily browse a deep and wide sites hierarchy. To achieve that the amount of custom solutions deployed to previous platform had to be reduced significantly, but with the assumption that autonomy and own branding of each business unit had to remain intact.

The centralized control over the IT infrastructure helps Home Credit Bank to develop and improve existing systems and the enables rapid commissioning of new services. Due to the ability to quickly troubleshoot problems and pre-vent failures, the Bank managed to increase the reliability of business pro-cesses and efficiency of the IT Department

Moravia IT needed to renew the Windows 7 licenses for its virtual machines, and it wanted to upgrade its physical PCs from Windows XP to Windows 7. The company acquired desktop and virtualized versions of Windows 7 Enterprise included with a subscription to the Windows Intune PC-management service. As a result, Moravia IT kept hardware expenses low and extended the life of its physical PCs.

RoseBud Technologies wanted to benefit from cloud computing and transition away from inefficient on-site support services for its customers. It used Windows Intune, a cloud-based PC management solution from Microsoft, to manage customers’ PCs from a web-based console. RoseBud reduced the cost of doing business by 10 percent, improved customer relationships, and reached more customers across the United States.
